Wanna Watch a Newbie Play Diablo?

Firstly, sorry for very little in the way of updates (and streams) this week. Work went (and still is) bonkers, a few personal things went awry, and my mentals/stress were simply not in a great spot during my usual Wednesday slot to put a good stream together.

Thankfully, the week is ending, time freeing up, and mentals ready to roll. With that said, I’m planning at least three streams this weekend.

Friday (today), 6:30 PM ~ 7:30 PM CDT: Fall Guys with My Kids & Crowd Control!

I’m really pumped for this one. My oldest loves Fall Guys and enjoys practicing with me for Extra Life United. I floated the idea that we play together on stream while you fine folks Crowd Control me to no end.

The first Crowd Control experiment went quite well. In other words, you bastards found very creative ways to eliminate me and I hope the prime hour will ramp that up.

Friday (today) 10:00 PM CDT - When I get tired: Diablo IV Open Beta

I’ve never played a Diablo game in my life, but I think just about all my gaming friends have and love it. With Diablo IV hitting an open beta, I’m going to join the cool kids (assuming the servers don’t crash on me).

Come watch my newbie-self figure out what all the hype is about. See how often I die and if I like the game enough to keep things going for future streams.

Mrs. Tex is having a girls weekend, so there is a high probability of at least one more stream on Saturday night. However, that time is TBD based on kids activities and whether or not my parents have them for an evening.

New Podcast Coming!

One of the other things that I’ve been working on is nailing down an interview with Frosty, a Final Fantasy XIV streamer and organizer of the rather epic World First Raid races. Why interview him? Well those races: he did his last one for Extra Life.

Frosty is an awesome figure in the FFXIV community and I can’t wait to interview him, giving you some insight into a section of the gaming world that is waaaaaaaay too hardcore for me to even think about joining.

I’m planning for the episode to drop on Monday.

Make Me Drink

As I started work today, I got a surprise on a notification that I got a $200 donation! Firstly, to the person that fired that off: holy shit, thank you! What a way to start the weekend!

Secondly, remember that $1,380 goal to make me drink a terrible concoction of Moscato, lavender soda, sprite, and gin? With that $200 donation, and the Crowd Control stream last week, I’m only $60 away from that goal.

Let’s get it. I’ll pay up on tonight’s stream (because I should do the vices when the kids aren’t right next to me!).
