Super Bowl Squares & 40th Birthday Stream
I've honestly stared at a blank draft screen trying to think up of some clever intro generate a laugh and morph that into a call for donations. Problem is, I can only dig so deep into a bag of nothing.
Perhaps the Mavericks will give me Luka Doncic for it.
Anyways, here's your call to action: the Trump administration has done a lot to damage cancer research in the past couple of weeks--the full extent we may not fully realize for years. Thankfully, organizations like the Children's Health Foundation have cancer research funds and trials that don't have full dependence on the powerful in D.C.
100% of all funds donated to my Extra Life campaigns goes directly to these local efforts.
Sometimes, doing good can benefit you directly as well. This week is one of those opportunities!
I'm going to do a 50/50 Super Bowl squares pool. Cost is $10 per square and you can "buy" them via donation at https://gamin4aven.org/donate. Just make sure to click the incentive box so I can collect information for contact & payment (and make sure I don't oversell boxes):
I will front the $500 prize pool myself as one of the incentives for raising over $1,000 in campaigns linked to the College Football '25 tournament is a $500 gift card (shoutout to Extra Life & Playfly for making that happen!). As I type this, the campaign is at over $800 and filling the board will put the campaign WELL over that mark.
The $500 prize pool will be divided as follows:
- 1st Quarter: $50
- 2nd Quarter: $100
- 3rd Quarter: $150
- Final: $200
Number/square drawings will occur during a special 40th birthday stream sometime during the afternoon of Sunday, February 9th (the day after my birthday). I'll have a specific start time & plan nailed down later in the week.
tl;dr - Things may suck, but you can donate $10 to Change Kids' Health and win cash yourself. Not a bad deal if I say so myself.
