Hello, heroes!
It’s a rare double-post week to remind you that I will be playing Final Fantasy XIV, in a group of eight, in support of my friend, Adam aka Toast, in his Game Day marathon efforts. Adam is supporting Boston Children’s Hospital and I’ll let him describe his why in his own words:
In recent weeks, anti-trans bigots have called in multiple bomb threats on the Boston Children's Hospital, as well as made direct threats to doctors, nurses, and other staff. These threats were made simply because the hospital offers gender-affirming (and often life-saving) care to trans children, which scares these people enough that they would make unconscionable threats to destroy a building filled with sick kids, their families, and their caregivers.
Trans rights are human rights, and the simple fact is that all children, no matter who they are, where they're from, or how they identify, deserve to be loved and to receive the medical care that they need. If this statement upsets or offends you, you're welcome to leave, but if you believe in the Boston Children's Hospital's mission, please join me in helping to support them and the kids and families they help out every single day.

I’m happy to call Adam a friend and even happier to play one of my favorite games for a good cause. I will be live on my channel around 3 PM CDT / 4 PM EDT, but Alex will be playing Metroid Prime and other games earlier in the morning. So be sure to head over to his Extra Life page or his Twitch channel to check him out.
Get Three (3) Free Months of PC Game Pass
If you’ve been on the fence about Microsoft’s PC Game Pass, Twitch has the perfect offer for you. By simply purchasing, or gifting, two Twitch subs from now until 1 PM CDT November 11, you’ll get three free months of PC Game Pass (new subscribers only).
That’s means free access to a huge library of games. As someone that has a massive backlog, I see a ton of games that I’d love to try, but can’t justify buying. PC Game Pass has been an awesome way for me to explore games at no additional cost. From games I’ve been sucked into like Astroneer or peak dad games like Lawn Mower Simulator, I’ve more than gotten my money’s worth.
Remember, all of my Twitch Revenue goes directly to my Extra Life campaign and is matched by my company. Head over to my channel and subscribe if you haven’t, maybe gift another sub, or go sub on Adam’s channel, or even the Children’s Health Foundation of OKC’s channel, or Extra Life’s official channel, etc.
Go get your free PC Game Pass!

Subscriber Chat
Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: subscriber chat.
This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion. Considering this newsletter is really the only centralized way to reach all my donors, I’m incredibly excited to have a different way to reach out beyond my posts and podcasts.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app (messages are sent via the app, not email). Turn on push notifications so you don’t miss a chance to join conversation as it happens.
How to get started
- Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Chat is only on iOS for now, but chat is coming to the Android app soon.
- Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.

- That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
I’ve already started my first chat thread so come on over and say hello!
