New Year, Same Goal

New Year, Same Goal

Firstly, if this is your first time receiving this newsletter, I can't thank you enough for you donation this past year (and if you were doing a monthly donation, go reset it!)! I've outgrown Extra Life's email tools, so run this myself to help keep in touch.

Don't want more emails in your inbox? Totally get it--scroll to the bottom for the unsub link. You'll stay in my database so I don't accidently add you twice!

Now with that out of the way...

$8,701.82 raised in 2025. Well, for now at least. Some corporate matches are still pending, which should get us to...

The clock resets. Slate wiped clean. Total raised returns to $0.00. A new donation page is live (if you land on the older page, no worries, it'll eventually redirect properly within 24 hours).

I've set the bar at $10,000 again. This is the first year that I haven't cracked that mark in quite a while. Considering how much I had going on (and, you know, just a FEW other economic factors working against everyone), I'm thrilled, especially because I went over the $100,000 mark which is bonkers.

Look at what playing games and doing silly things for a decade has done:

Do I still have streaming figured out after a decade of doing it? Of course not! I like to think I'm slowly finding my lane. I'm asked all the time what I stream and I struggle to find an answer. Well, now I have one: Stories and Sandboxes with a dash of Chaos.

As of right now, we are deep into a couple of Stories: Clair Obscur Expedition 33 (DLC) and the Assassin's Creed series (Revelations is next). I'd love to mix in Final Fantasy XIV or my first ever run of Baldur's Gate 3 in there somewhere (especially since I'll travel to this year's Fan Festival in the spring), but I'm not sure I have the time to commit to that.

Minecraft is the obvious Sandbox that I'm in, especially when season 2 of our Hardcore SMP fires up in a couple months. There are other Sandboxes I enjoy like Valheim, Satisfactory, Raft, etc.

And the Chaos? With Crowd Control's screen disrupts, it will always be available. Plus, I'll have more chaos mode specific donations this year, now that I saw it in full force during my marathon.

I'll work on getting a loose schedule up in a couple of weeks. Sadly, my GPU is starting to die and the harder I push it, the worse it gets. I've bit the bullet for a new one, which will arrive later this week, but I'll need to test a few things out to make sure things remain stable--plus, I need to take the time to test out some audio, recording, etc.

Then, I'll need to figure out what the baseball practice schedule looks like for the boys before I settle in to something more firm from February through the summer.

Bottom line: I'm pumped for this year. I hope you are too!

Stay tuned!
