Game Day Marathon: December 2 & 3
This year, I try to (virtually) save Notre Dame’s season.
Originally, I planned for this year’s Game Day 24-hour marathon to be an extension of my Final Fantasy streams. However, as the college football season progressed, I partook in the dangerous exercise of going through “what if” scenarios about Notre Dame’s season.
What if Al Golden doesn’t dial up a disastrous double safety blitz against Ohio State? What if Tyler Buchner doesn’t get hurt? What if Tommy Rees called good offensive plays against Marshall and Stanford?
Well, I have the power to explore these scenarios through NCAA ‘14. No, this isn’t the Sim from my Her Loyal Sons days (as those are still technically available for $100 donations!) as I’m taking control of Notre Dame myself.
I will play through the entirety of the 2022 season through NCAA’s single-season mode. Hopefully, I’ll do better than my non-virtual Fighting Irish counterparts, but I’m fulling expecting, planning for, and incentivizing chaos.
In lieu of a death tax, I’m putting aside a pool of donation money; however, it may not all go to Gamin’ 4 Aven. Where this money goes will be purely determined by my performance, judged by the way all great teams are truly judged: covering the spread. I will take the consensus spreads from the 2022 season through Action Network and put $10 on the line every game.
If I cover, I get the donation. If I fail GAMBLOR, I will roll the dice and donate the $10 to another Extra Life campaign that supports the Children’s Health Foundation of Oklahoma City. No matter what, Oklahoma’s kids will win!
Oh, and don’t worry, I’m working on ways for donors to create chaos while I play. I’m also working on giveaways, guests, special marathon fundraising milestones & incentives, and more. Stay tuned to future newsletters for details as I finalize everything.
I’m extremely excited to take this sports game detour this year and truly hope that Notre Dame never gives me another season to consider it again.

Stream Highlights & News
Thanks to all the great food & drink stunt fundraising, I had loads of weapon swaps and magic discards to run through…and still have more for tonight’s stream (and probably through the end of the game).
Here is one such moment. Is cure an important spell in Final Fantasy?
The magic discard @ExtraLife4Kids incentive I’m doing with #FinalFantasy II can be BRUTAL. Every $50 raised, I have to do this.

I also have some upcoming stream news as well this week!
This Saturday, around 9PM CDT, I will be streaming one of the Extreme Boss battles in Final Fantasy XIV as a group of us are practicing for a friend’s Game Day marathon that will include it. The main event for my buddy, Toast, will be on the official Game Day, November 5 at around 4pm CDT.
Next Wednesday, I have a $100 donation request for a Notre Dame vs Clemson sim. Want a Navy, Boston College, Southern Cal, or bowl game sim? Toss in $100 and it’s yours!
Podcast News
If you haven’t done so yet, check out my interview with Eve aka cuten00b. The interview and episode came out better than I could’ve ever hoped for.
Next week’s ND/Clemson sim will be on the pod for next week, with release sometime next Thursday.
