Crowd Control Returns This Sunday!
Surprise Sunday Stream @ 3:30 PM CDT with Super Metroid

Ever since I’ve gotten my hands on the Crowd Control Beta, I’ve been desperately trying to find a time to test it out. Thankfully, my youngest has a birthday party to go to, leaving me with my oldest to help me run this through the paces!
I wanted to pick a game that I could potentially one-shot. Waaaaaay back in the day, I used to run through Super Metroid in an hour. I’m hoping that I can get through most of it in a 2-3 hour stream.
Keyword: hoping.
lol…
This new version, beyond still being in beta, has some different things. Namely, there is no charity setting. However, do not fear, I have a plan!
What’s Different with Crowd Control 2.0 & My Extra Life Stream
- There is no charity mode, meaning Crowd Control will take a cut. But do not fear! I’ll make sure my oldest will end up doing $50 of revenue on his own, if needed. That is the minimum that my company requires for matching. In short, my company will make up Crowd Control’s take and then some.
- I receive revenue on coin redemption, not coin purchases. So don’t forget to spend them!
- Coins are now global. This means they aren’t locked to me. So, if for whatever reason you have leftover coins, you can support any Crowd Control streamer using the new 2.0 version. The same goes if you’ve bought global coins for another streamer and have some left over. Throw ‘em my way to Change Kids’ Health!
- There is no Twitch extension at this time. You will buy coins through a link. Here’s mine if you’d like to prep for my destruction.
- You’ll get 100 free coins no matter what. There are no subscription bonuses or channel point redemptions for now.
- Things will break and it might not be my fault this time! Let’s put this thing through the paces and if something doesn’t work, tell me! This is our chance to make this awesome product better.
I hope to see y’all at 3:30 PM CDT on my Twitch channel. It’ll be a ton of fun!
