$214 Away from Randomizing the Fiesta

Plus some things to look forward to for the remainder of the year

I’ve completed two weeks of Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta streams with three of four jobs unlocked. Tomorrow at 9 PM CDT, job number four will unlock at some point.

I’ve abided by the base rules of the Fiesta for now; however, with $214 more raised, you will force me to follow the random rules. Originally, I hadn’t planned on a re-roll of jobs at this point; however, I clearly forgot how quickly jobs unlock in this game.

With that in mind, I’d like to sweeten the pot. When random rules come into play, all four jobs will re-roll. This means the following:

  • Wind Crystal: All wind jobs
  • Water Crystal: All wind + water jobs
  • Fire Crystal: All wind + water + fire jobs
  • Earth Crystal: All jobs except for Mime and Freelancer

Further, after last week’s stream, I couldn’t help but think that I missed something about the fire crystal jobs. Turns out, I did. As I progress, two more jobs will unlock, meaning I botched it and excluded two jobs from my initial roll.

I’m still facing the terror of being mage-less (current jobs: Monk, Berserker, and Ninja); however, at $50 more raised, before the end of the stream, I will give a discounted re-roll on the fire crystal job. And yes, at $250 raised for the week, I will have yet another re-roll as well.

Big potential for chaos this week!

Coming Soon…

I have a couple things working in the pipeline. To put it lightly, this past week went completely bonkers on me. The day job went a touch crazier and I’ve had a kiddo with a stomach bug the last two days. Thankfully, both situations have calmed meaning I’m back to the “normal” level of crazy to get back to knocking out things on my content to-do list.

First up: VoDs. I’m going to take a page out of Wretch’s (Twitch, YouTube) playbook as inspiration for this one. My friend, if you are reading, I love the pace and idea of spacing out VoDs/YouTube releases to an hour max within a three hour stream. I doubt I’ll keep up with your well-oiled release schedule, but dammit, I’m get things out.

Anyways, look out for more digestible-length VoDs of my streams in the future.

The other task: podcast interviews! I have my next one scheduled and I’ll have it in the can next week. I’m very excited to get back in that swing as well.

Future Games/Streams

Before I close, I want to give a bit of insight on what I’m thinking for content scheduling in the foreseeable future.

After Final Fantasy V streams wrap up, I will shift to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. I highly doubt I’ll stream around release, but I guess a week or two after at worst. Oh, the Triforce drinks will return too.

Sometime in late May, two updates in a couple of my favorite games will drop. The first is the latest patch in Final Fantasy XIV. Now, I’m not sure if I will stream this or not; in fact, I’m leaning towards not. In short, there’s a lot of downtime/not very entertaining stuff in between the content. I’ve thought of doing more YouTube-only releases for things along those lines and this seems to fit that bill.

The other update coming down the pipe is Update 8 of Satisfactory. Now this will absolutely not be streamed. Any Satisfactory session features loads of downtime, meaning patching many sessions together into shorter episodes makes a whole lot more sense. I’ll start a new build and, hopefully, sucker convince some of y’all to join me. Perhaps if there’s enough interest, I’ll spring for figuring out a dedicated server for our community.

This summer will see two releases that have my interest: Diablo IV and Final Fantasy XVI. Diablo will likely see streams around its release as I’m definitely interested and seriously bummed that the streams didn’t work during Beta.

Final Fantasy XVI is a tougher one for the sole fact that I don’t own a PlayStation 5. Bundles will run around $500 and I doubt I’ll preorder when available tomorrow. That’s a whole lot of cash and Mrs. Tex and I will travel to Hawaii and Vegas for quite the vacation on our own. I don’t think it’s a hard choice in where I want money to go.

That being said, I’m sure I’ll cave at some point, but perhaps closer to the end of summer or even the fall. Not when it releases in June.

As for the fall…stay tuned, I have an announcement next week!
